Leadership Team
Clare Lynam – Headteacher
Clare Lynam graduated from the University of Sheffield with a BA (Hons) in Geography, before going on to undertake a Post Graduate Certificate in Education at Oxford Brookes University. Since qualifying Clare has taught in a diverse range of schools from large inner-city primary schools to a small independent school, teaching EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Clare has extensive school leadership experience having previously been Head of School in a federation of Church of England Primary Schools and the Headteacher of the Primary Phase in an all-through school. Clare joined Nightingale Primary as Headteacher in April 2022.
Kelly Taitoko – Deputy Headteacher
Kelly Taitoko graduated from Christchurch College of Education with a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning (Distinction). Kelly taught for two years in New Zealand, in EYFS and Y4, before moving to England in 2003. Kelly has taught in both KS1 and KS2 classes and has a wide range of leadership experience. During this time she also achieved a Master of Arts in Education (Merit) from the University of East London. Kelly continues to broaden her leadership experience and currently leads the STEM Working Party and Physical Education - including developing our sports leaders programme. As the Deputy Head at Nightingale, Kelly also oversees behaviour and safeguarding across the school.
Sam Wilder – Assistant Headteacher
Sam Wilder graduated from Greenwich University in 1998 with a Bachelor of Education (Hons) degree in Primary Teaching. Sam has worked at Nightingale Primary School since qualifying as a teacher and during this time, has taught classes in EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Although her children are much older now, both attended Nightingale Primary and very much thrived during their time at the school. During her time at Nightingale, Sam has held a number of different positions and now leads on English, EAL and ECTs. As an Assistant Head at the school, Sam also holds responsibility for leading EYFS and KS1, and visits other schools across London to support students and mentors at the start of their teaching career.
Sinead Culora – Assistant Headteacher
Sinead graduated from the University of Ulster in 1996 with a BA (Hons) degree in Politics. She worked as a management accountant at the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (now Euronext London) for nine years, before undertaking a career change away from the world of finance. She obtained a PGCE via the SCITTELS scheme in 2009 and was based in Newham for some time before moving abroad to teach Business English to adults at the London School of Commerce in Malta. During her time at Nightingale, Sinead has taught in Years 4 and 6 and now leads on the curriculum and assessment and is the staff governor. As an Assistant Headteacher at Nightingale, Sinead is responsible for Years 3, 4 5 & 6.
Alice Greenwood - Assistant Headteacher
Alice Greenwood graduated from the University of the West of England. She then completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Education, with a specialism in Maths, at Middlesex University and completed her NPQSL in 2017. Alice has a wide range of leadership experiences having previously worked as an Assistant Headteacher, leading Pastoral Care and Safeguarding, in an inner London school. Alice also has extensive experience as a curriculum leader and phase leader having lead Maths, Science, EYFS and KS1 at previous schools. Alice joined Nightingale Primary as Assistant Headteacher in September 2023 and is responsible for SEND, Attendance and Pupil Premium.
